This year, 2025 is a bit of a different year for us. We don’t really have a huge breakout product announcement for this year. However we do have a good number of new items slated for release over the next 11 months. Does this mean innovation at Umarex is slacking? Not at all. On the contrary, we never stop looking at new ways to innovate and make your airgunning experience better. To that end, let’s talk for a moment on some exciting new items for 2025.
Optics Ready GLOCKs
Our replica air pistols comprise a lot of our business. Sometimes it might seem that we don't really focus on our replicas what with so much attention on pre-charged pneumatics and pellet rifles. Rest assured, even when it seems like nothing is going, something is going on. This year, we have optics ready GLOCKs on the slate. There will be both BB and airsoft versions employing GLOCK’s Modular Optics System (MOS). The MOS plate system is compatible with all popular optics footprints that are on the market today.
NitroAir On The Move!
Our NitroAir powered Komplete has been a huge success with its mid-2024 release. So much so that it has been difficult for us to satisfy all the demand for the NitroAir cartridges. We’ve keep the foot on the floor when it comes to producing NitroAir cartridges, so this ebb and flow has begun to normalize. That is good news for sure. In a new development, we’ve configured the AirJavelin Pro to accept the NitroAir cartridge! The NitroJavelin is one more way for you to cut the cord on the compressor for truly ready-anytime-ready-anywhere airgun performance. Made with the hunter in mind, the NitroJavelin flings arrows up to 400 FPS and is capable of harvesting game up to deer and feral pigs in size. Like the other variations of this platform, the charging handle is ambidextrous, a full length picatinny rail is included and M-LOK slots are included on the barrel shroud.
ReadyAir Gen II
For 2025 the ReadyAir PCP compressor is getting smaller and with a better user interface. Not only will this ReadyAir II take up less space on your garage floor it is also much easier to handle. It will still easily fill your PCP rifle’s tank to the recommended pressure. The ReadyAir II is also fully field portable with its included DC connector. Lighter, smaller, and quieter, the ReadyAir2 is a huge jump in making your PCP rifle much more portable. The best news is that the price of the ReadyAir II is not changing– MSRP is set to $699.99.
Optics Ready Everything?
What a simple solution for the optic sight question. The strongest trend in the handgun market is for optics ready slides. For those of us with older models that do not have a readily available optics solution, the Bridge Mount is an insanely simple and exceedingly affordable solution to mount a reflex style optical sight on an older or non-milled slide. We have made this bridge mount for airguns, but I have no reason to doubt this mount will work just fine on rimfire firearms. I’ll definitely be testing this mount on my 9mm just for kicks, as well. In the name of research, this is a question that needs to be answered.
Adapting to the Times
Umarex is not only setting the pace with product innovation, but we are also on top of our game when it comes to adapting to the times. In this case, it’s a healthy slice of both. Just last year we announced the Komplete PCP air rifle that is powered by NitroAir nitrogen cartridge. Almost immediately upon introduction of the NitroAir cartridge, calls for an adapter were made to us. Might as well give the people what they want, right? Enter the N2 to M18 Adapter. This simple adapter is mounted first to a PCP air rifle that utilizes M18 bottle threads. Once secure, a NitroAir Cartridge can then be threaded onto the adapter and your 100% PCP rifle can now be powered with NitroAir or the original PCP tank as you prefer. For those shooters who don’t shoot prolifically or have lost access to their pump, this adapter can be used to keep your air rifle ready to go, no matter what. NitroAir cartridges can be stored indefinitely in a cool, dry place. For people who like to have a back up for their back up, the NitroAir cartridge and the N2 adapter are no-brainers.
Umarex is More than Just Umarex
(pre-production image)
Umarex is more than just what we have listed under the Umarex brand. To that end, we take up considerable space in the Airsoft arena, and, more recently, the Less Lethal arena.
On the Airsoft side of things, the big news for our Elite Force Airsoft brand is in optics ready GLOCKs and the addition of the E&L series of AK based electric airsoft carbines. Coming over the next year are several SKUs of optics ready GLOCKs from the compact Model 19 frame to the full size Model 17 frame in both green gas and CO2 powered formats. With the 4 piece adapter plate set, you can mount nearly any popular reflex optic to the slide. These optics ready models will be very warmly received by the public. Trust me.
Elite Force has historically been a bit light on the AK side of the MSR spectrum. No more! With Elite Force’s new partnership with E&L, a full palette of AK based AEGs will now be distributed through us. From “Krink’s” with folding stocks to full bore AKM’s we will have the com-bloc AEG that you need.
Under our Prepared 2 Protect brand, the big news for 2025 is the availability of the .68 caliber HDX 68 less-lethal “shotgun”. This less-lethal device holds 16 .68 caliber solid rubber or Core Defense™ pepper rounds. It is powered by either a single 88 gram CO2 cartridge or via the Quick Pierce 2X12g CO adapter. This device delivers 36 joules of energy to help keep threats to your safety at bay.
Also available for 2025 is the Core Defense™ .68 caliber less lethal projectiles. The Core Defense ammo is unique in that there is a steel ball that is centered within the ball. This keeps the mass of the ball in the center and leads to a much more accurate shot than is possible with traditional round pepper ammo. With more accuracy possible at distance and paired with a less-lethal device like the P2P HDX 68, threats can be dealt with at greater spans of distance. The Core Defense ™ ammo is available in both pepper and inert versions for those folks who cannot legally purchase pepper based defense products. The pepper based Core Defense rounds feature 7% PAVA pepper irritant, and molded break lines for assured breakage upon impact.
These items hit the highlights for the new products headed this way for 2025. There are some more items that we haven’t focused on in this blog but will be rolled out in due time. Using the “New Products” tab on our main page will help you locate all of our new products throughout the year.
